RA.ONE! The Indian Superhero Flick

Ra.One (Hindi: रा.वण is an upcoming Hindi science-fiction superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film, which features Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, will be produced under Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. Originally scheduled to release on June 3 2011, the film was pushed back due to extensive post production work and is now set for release on October 26, 2011. Ra.One's first look was unveiled during the First Quarter Finals of the 2011 Cricket World Cup whilst the theatrical trailer was released three months later.
During an appearance on the chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Khan stated that Jackie Chan was "approached for a role in the film". Khan had reportedly sent Chan the detailed script of the film, along with the action sequences and a brief synopsis of his character; it was later confirmed that Chan would not be part of the project.In July 2010, Khan announced that Chinese-American actor Tom Wu would be part of the film.

In September 2010, reports indicated that Khan had signed Hans Zimmer to compose the background score for the film. However in early 2011, the director of the film dismissed it as a rumor. Vishal-Shekhar will work on the background score and Akon would be recording two songs for the film. The singer arrived in India on March 8, 2010 and recorded two songs with Vishal-Shekhar. On May 29, 2011, it was reported that one of the two songs composed by Akon was leaked on the internet.

On March 10, 2011, it was announced that the television broadcasting rights for Ra.One had been sold to Star India for a record sum of Indian Rupee symbol.svg 40 crore, officially surpassing the previous record of 3 Idiots for Indian Rupee symbol.svg 33 crore, to become the highest-sold Bollywood film ever.

Apple iOS 5-powered iPhone 5 – playing catch up or beating Android?

Apple iOS 5 powered iPhone 5 may not be debuting after all at Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next week, leading people to wonder whether the next generation smart phone will be playing a catch up game or whether it is prowling for the right opportunity to reveal itself and blast its rivals into oblivion.
Steve Jobs will make a rare public appearance at WWDC as the keynote speaker starting June 6 in San Francisco, Calif. Moscone Center. People are wondering what Jobs, who took a medical leave last January, will produce on stage this time. The last time when Jobs made a public appearance in March, he introduced iPad 2.
While rumors suggest that the much-awaited next generation of iPhone (dubbed iPhone 5) may not be unveiled this time, breaking Apple’s three-year trend of introducing a new iPhone every June, Apple announced in a press release Tuesday that they will present iOS 5, the new software platform that will support mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads. The press release also mentioned Mac OS X Lion and iCloud, but no iPhone 5 was mentioned.
This led some analysts to believe that the next iPhone will be focusing on software upgrades rather than major hardware boost.
There are no details on what will be included in iOS 5 yet, but Mac users are hoping for a better navigation system, automatic sync system that runs on background, easier file organizing system, near-field communication (NFC), and some widgets on unlock screen to name a few.
iPhones have been praised for their slick design and usability but their functionality has been criticized, turning frustrated fans to Android OS-based smartphones instead. With these new software improvements, however, will Apple be able to triumph over its rivals?
It is a little skeptical at the moment.
Even with the new iOS 5, people say iPhone 5 will not surpass the capability ofAndroid phone and the likes. Most of the rumored updates on iOS 5 are already available on Android phones, which means the next generation iOS-powered iPhone will simply be playing a catch-up game.
For instance, the turn-to-turn navigation system is not available on iPhone under current operating system unless one downloads a GPS app (usually not free) or jailbreaks. However, this is available for free on Androids.
Also, iPhone users are not allowed to customize the unlock screen the way they want (again, of course, unless one jailbreaks), something which Android users already can do.
If Apple indeed plans on trumping its rivals both on design and function, iOS 5 should include groundbreaking updates.
Otherwise, Apple will have to hope that Steve Jobs' showmanship can convince people that the next generation iPhone is as good as the latest Android phones, if not better

MY NOTHINGNESS!

We often forget about the soul that is, 'I' and 'ME'. By a change from light to darkness or from darkness to light; it is only the soul that can be seen without any difference. Neither any force can defeat it nor the universe. And If I say this live energy is me, I refer it to my god.

Reasons, they all want.
Perfection and accuracy they talk about.
Hard to describe the 'I', in this body;
the soul of my mine is lost in itself.
Its not a pet or some property,
its me, "white pure soul";
like a child crawls laughing out with no teeth,
and like the water flows down knowing the depth of the stream;
I lost in my nothingness.

Car stops with discordant sound,
rubbing it's tires on ground;
The body will stop the same way,
But the clarity of my vision and
of my voice that recites,
your name, will never die.
The sky fill with the clouds,
And they rain down for us.
No fake thing, I've to display;
only red blood to flood away!
Also the lane is too long;
and all I've is;
Innovation on my mind,
imagination right behind;
I'll cover the distance,
And yes, Its a commitment.
In every home and in every land
we'll fly together;
I dream and I pursue,
the course that takes me,
Higher and higher.
I stand and look at peace inside,
it is beautiful and it also dance.
Disappear;
till the only wonder remains for the world to wonder;
I'll be lost in *MY NOTHINGNESS*.

INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE : CSK crush RCB to keep the Crown!

A century partnership between openers Michael Hussey (63, 45b, 3 x 6, 3 x 4) and Murali Vijay (95, 52b, 6 x 6, 4 x 4) followed by off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s three-wicket haul, saw the Chennai Super Kings completing a 58- run win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final of the Indian Premier League, here on Saturday.

The Super Kings, in retaining the trophy, outclassed the Royal Challengers after making 205 for five and then checking the visitors to 147 for eight and cap an eight-match winning streak at home this season.

As well as Vijay and Hussey batted to provide a great launch pad for the Super Kings, it was Ashwin’s dismissal of the two danger batsmen, Chris Gayle (0) and Mayank Agarwal (10) by the third over that turned the tide firmly in favour of the hosts.

Virat Kohli (35 off 32) offered some resistance, but his exit in the 10th over, virtually ended the Bangalore challenge that tonight was not good enough to trouble the Super Kings who did just about everything right on the field.

Late in the innings, Saurabh Tiwary (42 not out) only delayed the inevitable as the Super Kings dropped a couple of catches.

Gayle, in his brief stay, never looked comfortable, unable to fathom the turn and bounce that Ashwin extracted, and the Jamaican powerhouse lasted a mere three balls before thin-edging to Dhoni.

In his next over, Ashwin struck again, rattling Mayank Agarwal’s off-stump with a straight delivery and the Royal Challengers were reeling at 16 for two in the third over.

Kohli and AB de Villiers put together a 32-run stand for the third wicket, but the South African, not in best of form this season, departed, missing a pull off left-arm spinner Jakati and trapped plumb in front.

Jakati struck another blow in his next over, accepting a simple return catch from a clueless Luke Pomersbach who lead-edged, playing for the turn that wasn’t quite there.

With four gone for just 62 in the ninth over, the Royal Challengers were staring at defeat and even more so when Kohli fell leg before to Suresh Raina, while skipper Daniel Vettori was dismissed in the next over, offering an easy catch to Ashwin.

The Royal Challengers never recovered from these body blows despite some late blitz by Tiwary as the Super Kings then cleaned up the tail to author a memorable victory that was founded on the Vijay-Hussey classic.

It was one of the finest batting exhibitions in the IPL this season as both Vijay and Hussey complemented each other, both in shot making and running hard between the wickets.

The run-making was a glorious mix of power hitting, elegant strokes and some deft placements, as the pair, with just two half-century partnerships this season, prospered, growing in confidence all the time.

It was not long before Hussey and Vijay opened up with a series of well-timed sixes and the Super Kings had the early momentum they had missed in the previous games.

The Royal Challengers bowling and fielding flagged as the runs flowed freely and at a good clip. Neither Hussey nor Vijay were unduly hassled on a pitch that afforded true bounce, but very little lateral movement.

For all their dominance, the Super Kings openers stuck to the basics, taking the singles and twos when presented even as they peppered the ropes to provide their team a solid platform.

The heat and humidity eventually got to the batsmen as first Hussey departed, holing out in the deep in the 15th over with the score reading 159. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni then played a cameo while Vijay too left, out to a tired shot, just five short of a century.

Thereafter, left-arm seamer Sreenath Aravind picked up two wickets off consecutive balls before Gayle emulated that feat in the final over only to see his West Indian counterpart Dwayne Bravo slamming a six off the last ball to put 200 on the board and the Super Kings firmly in the saddle

TITANIC now in 3-D!

James Cameron's Oscar-winning film “Titanic” will be re-released in 3D on April 6 next year.
It will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Titanic setting sail on April 10. The ship sank on April 15, 1912.

Cameron is quoted as saying that the film was "painstakingly" converted to 3D and promises "an epic experience".

"Titanic" was released in 1997 and won 11 Academy Awards. It grossed more than $1.8 billion worldwide. In the worldwide box office, “Titanic” is second only to "Avatar", another James Cameron flick. It is believed that “Titanic” is still the No.1 movie of all time in Malta.
